basically, yes. women's bodies shouldn't have to be commodified. prostitution shouldn't be illegal, of course, because that only makes it harder for these women to report the violence that is far too often perpetuated against them, and because these women are already victims of circumstance. that's why i say criminalize johns. but the ladies shouldn't be in this position to begin with. prostitutes are overwhelmingly destitute, and aboriginals are disgustingly overrepresented in canada. these women should have better opportunities & a guaranteed income to make renting their bodies not necessary. y'all can make jokes but a prostitute is somebody's daughter. would you want this for her?

hmm, wait, it used to be that fathers were required to provide a dowry to go along with the daughter just so he could convince the suitor that it was worthwhile to take the daughter off his hands. or maybe it worked the other way around. probably depended on how attractive the daughter was.

I'm fairly certain that most people are pretty much equipped to perform sexual services. it works pretty much the same as taking a whizz or dropping a load. it's just one of those things that people are naturally inclined to do. why not make a living off it?
