He was only charged with two counts of second degree assault; misconduct in office and false imprisonment. The last of which was dropped before the trial. None of those charges were going to stick to a cop.

The bigger cases are yet to come.

When a police officer assumes custody of an individual they are charged with protecting the individuals safety. I'm surprised that negligence of duty charges were not filed. If they were, that is difficult to prove. Why? Because you have to prove that he was treating someone else differently than he treated the person in custody. It just amazes me that so many people die while in police custody of mysterious circumstances. However, this appears to be another fixed case from the very beginning. I also don't like how articles are redacted or present limited information, this hinders anyone from getting a full understanding of the case and this is what creates mistrust between public officials and the public themselves.
Do as I say, not as I do.

People die in the care of others all the time without consequence. Especially in law enforcement and the military . Weather in theater or training. Thats the nature of violence and using force. Nothing will ever change that.

Didn't we once have news that actually investigated stories to make the public aware of the facts... Now it all one-liner sensationalism, opinion pieces
