The suggestion here is to keep a record (like the news feed) of all spy-ops conducted by a clan viewable by the clan admins. Rather than cluttering up the news feed, this could be on a separate "spy op feed".

This would allow clan admins to see all spy ops done by their members, successful, failed, harmful or not. They wouldn't see the results of the op, just that it had been conducted.

This would also be very valuable for FA work as ops could now be more easily verified by clan admins. It would even allow "proof", for example, screen sharing in Skype and showing another clan's FM the op feed of what was done or not done. (prevents denial and he-said she-said arguments).

This came up again today as our clan has been debating various new award types to offer members. For example, it would be great to have an award for the member that completed the most successful spy-ops for the alliance (including demos, SR's, CD's, etc). But these are (currently) very hard to track.

Is a record of these kept anywhere today which could be easily made available to clan admins, or is this a large new coding effort?

It would be great if this was rolled into the code before the end of this reset. *crosses fingers and toes*

Even something as simple as showing the clan admins how many ops were run by country would be great, doesn't have to detail their success.

Everything atryn says is right. We've discusses this for a while now, but we have no viable way of tracking this. Spies are just as important if not more important during a war than hitters. WIthout a spy, we never get the op, we never get the breaks right.

Even if you don't have time to place the logs where the clan admins can see them, if you could just send someone from MD's leadership a list of our spy ops for this set, we'd appreciate it. Not necessarily all the ops, just a list of how many where done, or however you guys have them filed. We can sort/seperate anything you have to offer us.

Thanks! and great post atryn!

It's not really as simple as "rolling it in" heh; it'd have to be an entirely new page &etc;

For the end of this reset, I'm targetting having a working, stable server; and some balance adjustments.

LOL... I posted this 1.5 years ago but thanks... And I still agree with all of it. :)

~2 yrs is a decent time to hope for a new feature here. It rewards those of us who stick around.
