i notice this page is very wordy, and none of the words in particular stand out or differentiate themselves, not exactly attractive to a new prospective player. but also i notice that many of the words that make it wordy are announcements, which i guess is kind of cool, to show the kind of active support the game is getting, except the blog links are broken and the announcements are from 2011 and haven't been updated in 3 years, even though game devs have made a lot of updates since then.

this is probably something you're already aware of and planning to change long-term, but for now y'know i just wanna suggest making the portal page, http://earthempires.com/portal, act as the landing page for visitors for now. would be better right? also one less click for gammers like us to get to our portal if we arrive at ee thru the main page
