why arent we allowed to recall partial goods back?

for example if you place 3m food, 1m jets and 500k oil on the market on 3 seperate occassions
you can bring your food back but leave your jets and oil on the market.

just do a selection tick box on which goods you want to recall.

there are two ways this can be done: check box select and submit, or select a type and type in a number and price like orders. meh

its not about thinking more carefully, its about being versatile, having more strategies in mind, having back up plans, helps to keep you alive.

I'm not asking to recall 25m bushels back when you put 50m bushels, just recalling goods that you have put seperately up for sale

I think such a change would make it TOO versatile.

If I know anything about how the game is coded, adding a checkbox for each row of goods to recall is actually piss-easy, easily coded and tested in 1 hour, since each row of goods is its own SQL table entry.

I like recall all as well, if anything. It was originally put in with a mind to aid stone walling. If it were changed to recall only specific goods, etc, I and other war mongers would be very unhappy.

It's meant to be a tool that requires thought. So I really want to recall my 500m food just to get 1m jets at a better price? I also think it would lead to even faster market crashes, especially on thin markets.

If I said anything about difficult coding, I would have meant something about difficult making a nice layout, and making it work pretty =/ 'cause yea, that wouldn't be that hard... but it *could* be annoying to make it look reasonable...
