How about allowing 1-2 defensive allies & no offensive allies?

1.) It would help against all jetters.

Comparing primary and express is a bit of a stretch.

And as for your logic that people will play more turns I'm not sure I follow. Are you saying someone will play more turns if it is harder to retal? What? How exactly does that work? If they didn't have to retal they would just stop playing or play less turns?

You are just trying to create a bigger gap between the top and the bottom. That is fine, but don't disguise it as something that is good for the game. Solo servers should be solo servers imo.

If you look at all the top vs bottom players- you'd notice almost all of the bottom-feeding atks are not getting retal'd. By making it harder to retal those on top isn't going to matter.

What we could do is: make it costlier and harder for the top players to be successful on the bottom players. This upgrade would cause fewer attacks per day and would lessen the average DR of all countries (making more land available).

Furthermore- this upgrade would help safeguard against DR abuse.

I like your idea initially, but the problem with that suggestion would be players doing several land grabs, then making a huge jump in net (as protection). One govt type in particular [commie indy] has the advantage of selling large amounts of military, up to 60% on the market.

They could just sell, LG then jump to out of range again.

The reason why I prefer defensive allies is because, you (as an individual) still have to pick your allies. So it's still about picking the best ally as an individual. Plus, it doesn't mean it's impossible to attack, but rather more difficult.

As it stands now- bottom-feeding is the most rewarding strategy, when mid-feeding should be. Even with retal factored in, the benefit should still outweigh bottom-feeding and it doesn't.

5 PS on bots/low teired players every 2 hrs > 1 PS on mid-level player.

The former requires the same amount of jets as the latter. The latter involves more risk, but gives far less returns.
When you saw KOH DR'ing the BOTs, you noticed more players switching to mid-feeding to remain competitive.

Another suggestion might be to give smaller returns for hitting the bottom rung players.

Clever; but, the problem there would be trying to kill a country. Imagine if you were in the middle of a KR, then suddenly you see the msg "You cannont continue because of humatarian reasons". Even worse- they could then hit you back and you're disabled from doing anything about it.

I like your idea that it limits the # of targets the higher players have, but the drawbacks I believe outweigh the benefits.
