I think we all depend too much on it. now that it has been up and down for the past few days, and some information were not recorded and honestly I got screwed many times over this across all servers.

Any idea where can we contact bore? since on eestats page it says "Advertisement: If you like this site, please consider donating here :) -bore"

eestats should be built into ee seriously. it shouldn't be part of an external site, it's too important. that info should be presented , within this site, up at one of the links on top like guides, wiki, STATS, forums, chat.

I like that idea with eestats on a link above. I always depended on the news until I played primary one set. I couldn't get it to look back far enough and, at the time wasn't taking any notes, and broke my GDI.

I made a new friend that time who told me about eestats, and I also take notes on that server if I play it.

When I realized that EEstats was losing data and being wrong I posted about in bugs and suggestions. H2orich suggested this site: http://www.earthgraphs.com/...72&countrygraph=alive

I've been using this and its more accurate. I can paste countries into Microsoft OneNote and get a live link to that country. I copy that, my spyops, and do my attack calculation in Onenote. Its great because I can plan 5 strikes in detail, then jump to the current status of the country to make sure it hasn't gone into DR right before I hit it. Its all a great tool for Primary where my Dictator needs to hit 5 countries every 20 hours

earthgraphs is good, but you cant arrange them according to nw/land which is the most important thing to search for the fattest country.

and you cant 'tag' a country with a colour code like eestats to indicate that you have attacked a country before.

In Primary, we can hit countries >25% of our NW. I now use Earthgraph and copy the list of ~50 countries from that NW up into Onenote. Then I copy 5 countries, manually sorted by DR=0 and lowest NW. That gives me a 5 row list of targets.

Lowest NW is most important if I'll be growing out of range. nw/land otherwise as h2orich says, but still small so I can get 5 hits in if possible

Before my military comes back from attacks I spy the first target and its allies and copy to One note. I can type in the calculations and Onenote does the math. I copy the attack results in too so I have an attack log for that day.

I also have a separate onenote page showing my current hits on all countries. I check that against my target list. I have onenote folders for every different game under Sections. I keep a page of in and outgoing msgs in a folder for each game too. I keep startup strats etc in another section in my Earth Empires notebook. Its all a pretty good tool to stay organized, and the Earthgraphs links into it really well.

I just color code countries I've hit in eestats. Whether the news is actually captured by eestats isn't relevant to me, as long as I color code every country I hit as I hit them. This makes target selection really easy, since every country I want to hit is not colored (which is usually very few countries).

No need to copy anything here, there, OneNote or anything like that, and EEStats as a website works on any computer, even public ones.

Thanks Xinhuan, I just tried that, it works very well and is simple. Now, if I could just do the attack calculations in my head :)

While we are on the subject of game newsfeeds, I saw in the recent detective mudslinging match some data that said something like: market> data, data, data

where do we get that?

Those? I just type the whole equation out on the command line. Or use Wolfarama. Or google. Yes, the google search box doubles as a calculator for any equation you care to put in.

Enemy has 100k turrets, 40k troops, 104% weapons, no allies, and you have 119% weapons? Key in

((100+40/2)*1.04)*1.1/1.5/1.19

into google search and tada, send 80k jets. You guys really make things a lot more complicated than it really needs to be.

What? I never wrote any program to calculate attacks. I really just type the "((100+40/2)*1.04)*1.1/1.5/1.19" out. If you type this into Windows Calculator, instead of say google's searchbox, it IS still pressing the exact same sequence of digits and operations to get the same result, other than that you can easily edit the equation for your next grab in the searchbox, while you have to retype the whole thing in Windows Calculator.

Or if you're a little nerdier, I sometimes type

python -c "print ((100+40/2)*1.04)*1.1/1.5/1.19"

at a MacOS command line, or whatever scripting language happens to be installed. Or if mIRC is running, you could

//echo 4 $calc(((100+40/2)*1.04)*1.1/1.5/1.19)
(The 4 here makes it red color, the double slash makes it evaluate the expression)

I probably could do it in my head, but it takes 10x longer, and not worth the effort.

It would go something along the lines of 100+40/2 is equal to 120, now I need to add 4% of that, so 4% of 100 is 4 and 4% of 20 is 1/5 of the 4 earlier which is 0.8, so that makes 120+4+0.8 which is 124.8.

Now I need to add 10% which is 12.4, so I round up and add 125+13 which is 138. Then to divide by 1.5, it is the same as multiplying 2/3. So 2/3 of 120 is 80, and 2/3 of 18 is 12, so that makes 92.

Dividing by 1.19 is approximated to dividing by 1.2. That is 12/10 which is the same as multiplying 10/12. SO I just gotta figure out 920/12. Which is 460/6, which is 230/3. At this point, I just round up to 240/3 and send 80k.

See? It's totally not worth it.
