Looking at the last round stats, I see:

* 1 country over a billion NW
* an NPC country finishing in 19th place
* about 70 NPC countries in the top 100
* no war decs on FFA talk

Are folks getting what they hope for out of this server?

I don't think that it's good to denigrate the achievements of others, especially when they are vague accusations from years ago that cannot really be defended against. Here is the round with the highest total for the top ten: https://www.earthempires.com/express/600/ranks . The round with the second highest total is the one before that.

How can so many top players all be achieving high NWs at the same time through market manipulation? It makes no sense.

If you see cheating going on in game then report it the moderators.

Let me try a programming analogy for you. Suppose you were the head maintainer for a piece of open source software. You start getting feedback from an end user who is using a ten year old version of the software. Is this useful feedback? Would any community discussion around that feedback be useful?

The game has calculated DR for players for over a year now. It's cool if you want to post on the boards and not play but I do not understand the purpose in presenting yourself as an expert in the game when you don't seem to really be playing. I don't see any notable Express finishes on your public profile over the past 4 years. When is the last time you won Express?

You don't know what true oil demand could be because players do not keep the market supplied. If the market is empty of oil you will draw the conclusion that oil demand is low when it's actually the exact opposite.

Also comparing 30m all-x strat vs bots from 2+ years ago doesnt work. The bots are completely different today than they once were. These bots used to stockpile insane cash and all the non-tech govt could spend turns wacking those bots for like 30-40mil cash per hit.

And before you comment on saying all-x don't hit bots,. you could also back then rob banks for 9-10mil a turn.

The new round will immediately start after the old one completes. This means that the game will no longer necessarily end on Sunday. We can let it run for a while like this and make changes if any problems pop up.

You are a broken record at this point.

If you want the game to grow, try recruiting the new players that join each week to your alliance. Teach them how to play the game and how the game is more fun when played with others.

I don't think that Monsters would be happier if Red X recruited 4 other players and all five countries were attacking their clan.

There's a 43 member alliance right now full of bored players who enjoy killing other countries. Monsters could make an arrangement with them to take care of threatening untaggeds.

Probably not because there seems to be no apparent reason for his outburst. Bans aren't given out lightly. They are given out when a player has a pattern of unacceptable behavior with no signs of stopping. As far as I'm aware, here are my interactions with mrford since his return:

* Creating a new game server that allows his old clan to thrive. He was playing on that server too.
* Helping to alert him that there was suspicious activity on his game account which is part of an ongoing investigation.
* Sending him a friendly ingame message.

I don't expect players to be grateful, to say thank you, or to buy premium. But I do expect them not to tell me to kill myself.

It was a "server war" as VicRattlehead described. It was a conflict between players. You can click through the old rounds and see that there are multiple tags per alliance every time: https://www.earthempires.com/team/5/clans?ranktype=tnw

Even we do the "right" thing you guys misremember and accuse us of doing the "wrong" thing. Truly impossible to please!

With respect to the Alliance server, I don't see anything wrong here? Monsters was hit by someone with a grudge against their tag. They successfully defended their tag and killed the aggressor. They can take pride in doing so. What should have gone differently?

This has been the case since 1998. It is practically built into the mechanics of the game, and because this is just a carbon copy + a few minor changes to Earth: 2025 as designed and envisioned by Mehul Patel we see that here as well.

The Alliance server is an open world concept and players are free to attack anyone and the thrill of risk/reward is still present. If you want a more guarded protected PvE style of game play there is the Coop server built by Slagpit, it specifically caters to that niche.

Alternatively, the staff could see fit to be more heavy handed on matters between players but that has been disastrous in the past, see: Team Server– spirit of the server rules.

I think you're misremembering with respect to the team server? No one was ever deleted on the Team server to my knowledge because clans used multiple tags. "Spirit of the server" rules apply to clans operating on non-clan servers like Primary.

Theo wasn't a good fit for your strategy because you focused on getting farms over land, so your stock was turn-shifted late and you didn't have enough acres for a big theo jump without public buying or losing income turns. A 3 day theo jump for you is only 776 M NW.

Premium members can now change the color of the ingame top bar to be different colors on different servers. This is designed to alert players if they are on a different server than they expected. Sometimes players make gameplay errors due to confusion about which server they are currently playing on.

Premium members can also temporarily block logins for individual game servers. The main use case is to prevent accidental logins which can lead to unintentional private market decay.

Note: these features are unlikely to work with the alpha UI.

The rules changed in round 6:

SDI increases the maximum number of planned strikes per day. One additional planned strike is guaranteed for every 15% of SDI and another PS strike is randomly awarded based on the remainder of the tech. For example, 20% SDI grants 1 additional planned strike with a 33% chance of another planned strike. The maximum number of PS per day is refreshed when bonus acres are awarded.
