Failed stealing or harmful ops count, yes. Failed informational ops do not.

A country is now considered a techer if it has at least 80% labs. Other strategies need at least 70% of their land to be covered by their primary buildings. This should resolve almost all cases where a player could reasonably consider an NPC country strategy to differ from the game's classification.

Teching is only available for countries with at least 1 tech point and at least 30% labs.

1) Automatically destroying buildings acquired from land grabs

* This is a new feature only available for Premium players.

* Players can configure which building types are automatically destroyed immediately after performing a successful land grab on the MANAGE page. This configuration is not yet available within the FFA control panel.

* The turn results information tells the player when buildings were automatically destroyed.

* Buildings will be destroyed after a land grab as long as the country has enough money to do so.


2) Automatically selling food on the private market:

* A country only now sells the net bushels it produced that turn instead of all bushels on hand. Bushels will not be sold if a country loses food per turn.

* The turn results information tells the player when food were automatically sold.

* This feature is now only available for Premium players. It could previously be used on FFA for all players.


3) Automatically selling turrets on private market:

* A country now only sells the turrets that it produced that turn instead of all owned turrets.

* The turn results information tells the player when turrets were automatically sold.

* This feature is now only available for Premium players. It could previously be used on FFA for all players.

I can't tell you why, but I don't see a lot of spy ops in the news for the top ten finishers last round. Only #39 got hit based on public information.

Cash/tech page is likely done but I'm not ready to push it live yet.

This isn't permitted on the Express server. You are giving your defensive allies an unfair advantage over other players by announcing that you will effectively be their policing force. From the posted game rules:

"This server does not have clans. Playing in order to benefit another player is not allowed. Working with another player to disadvantage another player is not allowed."

"Explore" now exists as a control subpage.

Fixed some redirects and added explore page.

Harmful spy op page would be tough because countries get spied out quickly.

Added to market spy as well to improve quality of life for nosy players.

* Unimplemented alliances, readiness, and vacation pages have been replaced with unimplemented build, explore and cash/tech pages.
* Other pages have been moved around to support the above change. I also tried to bucket things more logically into the top four categories.
* Email notification (which did not work) has been replaced by selling turrets on PM option on the preferences page.
* Startups page has extra restrictions and can no longer be applied to restarted countries. Note that this page still isn't working how it should. At some point it should be updated to actually simulate the turns played instead of just applying an assumed end state.

Premium users (which should be everyone at this point) can now see summarized totals for bushels and oil on the public market sell page. For example:

These calculations only show up if there are multiple market packages for a single good.

If you want this please make another thread. I see the use case and it's theoretically possible to do but it would be much harder than the split 3 change.

The javascript prefilling has been removed for bushel and oil purchasing on the private market.

This was done to account for a bug that gave some players extra turns. The only fair resolution seemed to be to award those extra turns to all players. It is in your best interest to log in during the first 24 hours so you don't overflow on turns.

I have no problem with restoring API access to ghqnet.com if the security issues in point 1 are addressed and the offensive content in point 2 is removed. The ghqnet admins have declined to do so. I understand that you're more of a FFA player and may feel that you are being punished due to the actions of alliance players, but this is one of the risks you take when using an external site. ghqnet.com could simply be taken off the internet tomorrow and there's nothing that the game admins could do about it.

API feeds and spy op upload are no longer available for ghqnet.com. Players are no longer permitted to link to it on any Earth Empires property. This change was done for two reasons:

1) ghqnet.com previously stored plain text passwords for user accounts and many Earth Empires game accounts were accessed using those passwords after ghqnet.com was hacked. This impacted the integrity of the game and resulted in a lot of clean up work for the moderators and administrators.

2) A disgraced former clan is using it as a platform to make untrue, disgusting statements towards the game admins, moderators, and even the average player. The ghqnet admins are aware of it and do not view this as a violation of their terms of service. We will not deliberately drive traffic to a website that publicly hosts such material.

We urge all ghqnet.com users to find a replacement hosting solution in order to protect their personal information and the integrity of the game.

I honestly do appreciate you saying this, so thank you. I've been trying to say the same thing for over a year. Just play the game. There's plenty of drama to be had ingame if you guys try to find it. Stop doing stuff outside of the game. I'm going go throw out a really simple analogy:

* Clans are like different teams participating in a basketball tournament
* The moderators are like the referees
* The game admins provide the courts, electricity, hoops, and even the balls

Does it make any sense for the players to attack the people who provide the venue for the game and make it possible? Now sure, sometimes the players might disagree with some of the decisions of the referees or maybe with the details of the tournament format. But have you ever seen a sports game where a player attacked a referee during the game and the referee sided with the player? The player gets ejected from the game pretty much every time.

I think that overall it isn't as bad as it used to be. Express is always active and is a good learning environment. The Cooperation server exists as a safe place to learn the game. Players are pretty generous in ingame messages on non-clan servers and clans can help quite a bit for learning the game. The ingame help text is more complete and accurate than ever.

Doesn't mean that it's good though. It's certainly a tough experience on the Classic server but if anything that seems to be the identity of the server.

It's not quite that simple because deleted countries can be undeleted by the moderators.

If you click the "express" tab you can see that profile is not ranked in any category other than "best finish".

It is now possible to split up a new standing order into three parts. The requested quantity will be evenly divided by 3 and rounded down. For example, suppose a player requests a standing order for one million troops with a maximum price of $150. If the player clicks the "Split into three orders" checkbox then they will see the following:

Waiting for activation: Purchase up to 333,333 Troops at $150 or less. Cancel Order
Waiting for activation: Purchase up to 333,333 Troops at $150 or less. Cancel Order

This was still possible and I've implemented another fix just now. Please post here if you experience this behavior in the future. It would be especially helpful if Express players try to test this.

One of your trade pact allies likely has not logged in for a long time. You can check the last login times of your allies by looking at their spy ops. I have fixed the ingame help text.

I appreciate your common sense perspective, but some of these players get banned on purpose with the goal of convincing other people to quit the game because of their "unfair ban". We've even had players message the mods requesting a ban only to later have other players complain about that ban.

The Alliance server community generally rewards those who are cruel to others. Players can do the most depraved fluff imaginable, even going as far as hacking the game, and they will still always be welcomed in Alliance server social spaces.

Btw this same guy was deleted dozens of times on his original account and even put the n-word in his country names. He's a super great guy though!

You must be confused. He is a "great guy" and "Definitely one of the nicest people playing express currently".

He's currently using multiple game accounts to cheat and suicide on other players, but I hear that he's a really nice guy otherwise.
