LC was an asshole.. but.. he was still a person. and i got along with him very well. his personal life and what eventually took him away from us, was a shame, and i wish that on no one.. if i had to do it all over again meeting him. i surely would.. he was fun to talk to. atleast in my point of view.. When LC was active.. RD did cheat yes. but their was honor amongst thieves (in another words)was he and everyone knew RD cheated and such.. but he made u respect them. not just for their cheating and the capability of killing off ur country or tag in a blink of an eye. but respect that it wasnt nothing but loose cannons running that show. there was a order to their madness

Love him, hate him, LC was a giant in the game. Sadly, I never had a chance to chat with him. Though the game is a lot more "fair" with him and his bots, there are still quite a few people playing legit today that learned from him, so his legacy still lives on.

KInd of appropiate that this comes up on close to 1 year anniversary.

Being a cheater does not make you a giant in this game. It just makes you a cheater. Running bots and multies does not make you a giant.
Using the above mentioned to buy influence, and spread fear in the game does not make you a giant. It makes you a scum character in a random online game.

Thai being said, it is a sad thing to hear someone who played this game, is no longer with us.

them bot wars created memories for alot of us.. no mater how we felt at the time it brought alot of people together and created common cause amugnst strangers.. leaving RD alone became a universal rule for most at one point or another.. and no mater how we felt about it, the lack of that element has become a sort of void for some of us :P i miss knowning that fire was right there for me to reach out and play with lol

There is something in that. But the game has enough in it for variety and excitement to be generated w/o resorting to cheating.

And I would need a great deal of persuading that any of the cheats intended to generate fun. Well for anyone other than their usually rather solitary selves. Frustrating others and tearing down their efforts was their stock in trade.

You all realise LC fluffed with peoples personal lives, fluffing with people over an online text based game just showed what sort of character that person has, I dont wish anything on the people in this game I dont get on with and I would never do something to them outside of this game, but when people try to fluff with me outside of the game then I feel I have the right to 1. Not give a fluff they died and 2. Be happy that they died.

RD choose to take the option of taking our disagreement outside the game, not me so I really dont give a fluff what you all think about LC, the guy was a piece of fluff and im fluffing glad that scum bucket is dead.

And RB, LC was not a giant in this game, he was a dirty cheat who ruined this game, he deserves no respect and no admiration from anyone.

Sorry scode I simply can't agree. I've always been a firm supporter of the anti RD movement but wishing someones death upon it......... is taking things a bit far IMO. I've had my share of RL threats in this game and all I did other then telling them to bring it on is ignoring them heh.

Saying I wish someone dead or don't care for someones death because of some real life threats or in game issues.........I'm still above that I believe if that becomes my process of thought I stooped to the same (and likely even lower) levels as those people I didn't like for their game ethics and the combination of that with RL threats.....

Guess my term of 'giant' was misunderstood. Villians, even notorious ones, can still be giants, for better or for worse. LC had a huge impact on the game is what I was trying to say. In no way do I miss him in the game, he would have no place in it these days, and even back in the Mehul days, he shouldn't been been allowed to play as well.

No idea what you are getting at here, but all my comments are based on in-game actions. Taking things outside of the game is a completely different matter, but the details doesn't need to be talked about here.

I had plenty of bad experiences with RD in E2025 and yet I was friends with quite a few of the MRs at the time, including LC. We chatted a lot over the years, shared a similar disease, and had many laughs and even tears over the years. He could be a jerk, but perhaps that was part of his "charm" lol. He is missed.

But even if I had hated every member that was in RD in the old earth, I would never wish any of them, or anyone for that matter, ill will or harm in real life.

Some people need to look past this silly game and realize there are real people on the other side of the screen.

This is just a game, and I would never wish anyone ill for actions taken inside this game. However, if someone crosses that line and starts interfering with somebody's life, then I will never admonish the victim - even if I do not share their sentiments that have been forged from a hatred I neither share nor understand.

Far be it for me to be disrespectful over somebody's death, but after all, this is the same community that had one of our own shoot a member of Congress.

i'm not defending iscode here but some of you miserably fail at reading comprehension....and when I say some...I mean most.

iScode is NOT 'happy' he was dead because of what LC did inside of this game or because of RD. I repeat, it is not over a simple text game.

iScode's argument pertains to LC's repugnant behavior OUTSIDE of the game. even if you disagree, at least respond to what iScode is actually saying.

I guess if one has the nerve to admonish a dead guy you can (1) straw man the heck out of their arguments and (2) tell 'em to ignore their wrong doing because the target is dead.
