The criteria for earning weekly forum bonus points has changed from making a post to viewing a post. It is no longer necessary for players to post in bonus threads, but we will leave an open thread for this on General Talk for those who want it.

I think it’s time to also rethink the bonus. Doing the capchas for those sites is annoying. I don’t think they even give us much traction.

Maybe just making an advertisement you click and you don’t have to do anything other than view it for bonus points would be better for us and for the game to make more money.

I believe those are not allowed in google's adsense. I don't imagine other ad companies would allow it because it's incentivized clicks that likely only financially benefits the website owner and not those who wants to advertise.

There are services that offer it for a short video etc. There are other options available I believe.
