I might as well kiss my years of sobriety goodbye.

On another note, I am going to be recruiting for Soldiers Of The Apocalypse (SOTA) even though this set has just started. I don't care if whether or not anyone joins or not, as I have dealt with having to play with just Purgatori and the few one-time members who've joined for maybe a set or two before moving on or going inactive.

I have had to deal with more bullfluff in my eleven years of playing Earth: 2025 and Earth Empires than anyone else has ever had to endure, and it pisses me off. But one thing is certain, I am here and I am not going anywhere anytime soon. And with that, neither is SOTA, if it takes me another fluffing decade to achieve what so few have helped me accomplish five sets ago, I am willing to play as long as I have to, to make that happen.

If only there were few in this game that had enough faith in me to join alongside me to make Soldiers Of The Apocalypse the alliance I envisioned it to be, it could be one of the greatest alliances. All I have ever asked was loyalty, activity and that you take pride in the name as much as I have.

If you can find all I have said to be acceptable, don't tease me with your could have, would have and should have's and just join. I am tired of excuses as to why you didn't. I have no time for people who make excuses for themselves for their lack of faith or commitment.

If you are interested, contact me from any of the instant messengers listed below. I cannot promise leadership positions, but if you are honestly interested, I will offer positions to those with the most experience.

Also, as of the beginning of this set, Soldiers Of The Apocalypse is a division of the Masterful SworDs of Justice, so again if you are interested, you will be joining SworDs, but will be part of Soldiers Of The Apocalypse next set.

No. I had made my intentions clear to them before joining them that I had intentions of reforming Soldiers Of The Apocalypse (SOTA) in the not too distant future. There was also, a stipulation added that if accepted by them that I would be allowed to reform SOTA under their tag. However, considering my intentions for next set, I am looking to start recruiting at my earliest convenience... and I guess that's now.

And not to sound rude here... but if you would have read what was posted above you would see this:

"Also, as of the beginning of this set, Soldiers Of The Apocalypse is a division of the Masterful SworDs of Justice, so again if you are interested, you will be joining SworDs, but will be part of Soldiers Of The Apocalypse next set."

I am not a tagjumper or a multi, thank you very much, and as such I am going to keep my commitment to playing with them for this set, but I am not going to allow my membership with them to stop me from recruiting for next set.

I think you'd be much better off privately messaging the top countries of all these little clans and try to recruit them rather than open yourself up to all the crap you get every time you make a post.

I mean, I've n-e-v-e-r had anything against you, but a lot of people still apparently have axes to grind for whatever reason.

And don't send a form letter. Introduce yourself and personalize it.

Also, what's SOTA's mission? Do you want a fighting alliance? Tree huggers? Killers that net or netters that kill? I never quite have understood what you were looking to have all these years.

Personally, I've always thought you were cool but also never understood the whole gender bending thing. At one time, you stated that you pretended to be a dude (the Slash days) because you didn't think chicks would get any respect. However, Polgara, Laguardia, Lori and Angel got their respect in due measure and were obviously chicks. Hell. I consider Polly and Lag FFA legends.

Anyways, sobriety is vastly underrated and you'll attract more flies with honey than vinegar. But good luck.

You know, Dragon honestly... I prefer treehugging if I can get away with it.

This is stats from the second set of Earth Empires.

Soldiers Of The Apocalypse
Tag: SOTAxDC
Countries: 66
Total Networth: $1,184,332,988
Average: $17,944,439

And all I played was fifteen countries. It's nice to have people that are willing to put a little faith in you to help accomplish something like what happened that set. It was the first time in a decade I ever seen SOTA win the distinction of being called a netgaining alliance. And oddly enough, years ago, I applied to PANLVxTC three times, and each time got my application rejected. All I wanted to do was learn to netgain. :P

I would have joined ESD in the past, but I didn't want to cause any strife with Tempest, considering that from 2001-2002 he was the co-founder/co-president of the original incarnation of the alliance. I kind of owe some of the original alliance's success to him, considering some of the former MPExTC types that were in SOTA joined because of him.

And mrford, I believe I owe you an apology. Either way, SOTA is my baby like some tags are the respective babies of their creators (e.g.; SworDs being Bazhell and Ciscosmok's, LaE being Ice Man's, NBK being Soul Stealer's, etc...) I take great pride in the Soldiers Of The Apocalypse name... I just wish others would too.

The way I acted last night was in no way shape or form necessary, and again, I apologize about bugging the hell out of you on AIM, I deleted your screen name from my contacts list, so you won't have to ever worry about hearing from me on AIM again. But for some reason you touched a nerve that unleashed a decades worth of pissed off frustration.

I ended up killing a half-gallon of Absolut and another half-gallon of Jim Beam last night... as well as a full pack of Marlboro Red 100s trying to calm down. Again, the way I acted was childish. I am sorry.

lol, no apology needed

I was extremely bored last night and was using you for entertainment. I'm actually surprised you didn't blow up on me sooner! However the AIM texting thing was annoying, but you probably weren't even aware that it was going to my phone so its not 100% your fault. all is forgiven.

Damned jitters... damned caffeine. :P

I didn't know the messages were going to your phone. Oddly enough it feels good to be rid of nearly ten years of pent up rage, but at the same time, I never thought I would get that pissed.

Normally in the old FFA days... using a username no one knew you by and having a few hundred untagged countries was therapeutic enough... but with this game, you can't do that. I did alot of unsavory deeds back then, and alot of it no one knew about (but since I made my list of all the usernames I'd ever used in another post) I guess that answers some mysteries for some old school players.

Tempest was never a leader nor was a "co-founder" of ESD. ESD pretty much happened because amongst the netgaining side of that whole WARxINC/NETxINC debacle, DJTrance had his own EZClan site he used for running spy countries.

When things started to go bad, he and a couple other guys suggested that I take advantage of his Screaming Demons site.

The Screamin' Demons are the USAF's 7th Fighter Squadron of the 49th Fighter Wing that traces its origins back to the WWII South Pacific Theater.

Today, the Demons fly F-22 Raptors. SWEEEEEET. :)

Anyways, that's how ESD got started. I had very few people stick it out the whole time ESD played in FFA. It ended up being more or less an "all-star" netgaining tag where people took a break for a set or two to kick back and have fun.

Most of the best ever net gainers played at least a set in ESD. I guess my biggest disappointment was that despite the fact he gave me awesome advice, I couldn't entice Hermes to come out of retirement and play a set in ESD.

I think you would have liked ESD. We were a tight bunch and had nothing but respect and friendship for one another.

Nice bit of history... I guess I should take comfort in knowing that ESD's origins came about just as fluffed up as SOTA's was. Considering that after my not so gracious exit from DUEL, I had quite a number of countries and with getting kicked from their site and tag, the only most logical decision was to create a tag.

And considering my former position as Secretary of Foreign Affairs for DUEL, I formed SOTA and immediately set about negotiating pacts with all of those who were friends from previous sets and ten years later, here we are.

As for the F-22 Raptors, they are indeed sweet, I get an air show every day around noon. XD

Depending on how things work out, maybe we can bring our two minds together and come up with a new alliance, if you're down with that idea. I am looking to play this game for a while, and while I consider myself to be good... I could always get better. I still haven't hit the high twenty millions yet in networth, but my best so far was $9.9 million and that was five sets ago.
It just goes to show that someone who couldn't even break $3 million NW ten years ago can improve overtime :)

My days of forging or creating alliances and being asshole deep in FFA politics are long gone. Been there, done that.

Good luck to you though. Hope things work out for ya.

Well, I figured it couldn't hurt to try. I don't know how many sets I've played where I've wondered why I am still the only one leading my tag. Aside from the Slash & Tempest era, I've virtually ran SOTA by myself for the last decade.

In all honesty though, I would like to go back to doing what me, Purg and the crew were doing five sets ago, and that was doing our best to stay out of everyone's cross-hairs and have the best netgaining set we could. We had no enemies aside from a couple of disaffected types from SYN over the fine mess we got ourselves into regarding we were pacted with both sides of that conflict and couldn't declare war on one side without pissing off the other. :P
