Your plans may not have been to war SoF but that could change at any given moment given the relationship you have with them. LaF couldn't afford to let SoF take that chance given what has going on with Evo/MD/SOL. Unfortunately, this is the quick and easy decision for them given that SoF can't really be trusted to honor any pact terms they may sign.

See one thing has been evident to me these recent weeks... Somehow some leaders have come to think of alliance politics as being dagga-style posts on AT.

This game is about politics and always has been. Real politics is about negotiating and dealing in the best interests of your alliance. If you want to play stubborn that is your call bit it didn't work out too well for Arrow... Let me know how it works out for you.

PDM decided to put their alliance at risk in their stubborn Arrow style approach to SoF. SoF decided to add a price to that risk.

With SoF's reputation, I'm willing to bet that "his own pride" was a leader refusing to break a pact and lend his alliance's turns to SoF for some retarded gangbang with far superior numbers.

It's pretty clear that Sov was implying that SoF is a politics above principles type of alliance.

Confirmed, LaF has no reason to care that their biggest ally eliminated an alliance that could of been a problem later on in the reset should the Evo/SOL/MD conflict escalate. They also would not ask other alliances to bury the hatchet w/ SoF for this exact same reason either.

I took it to mean that stuff about using pact clauses to screw people you are pacted with in landgrabbing, not the usual if you hit so and so we will drop this pact fluff.
