Congratulations to H1 on his upcoming win in this set by being the sneakiest DR cheat. Pu into DR 14 with a few missiles and 10 or 12 GS strikes yesterday afternoon, he dumped most of his military going to rank 60, bought up a pile of tech and is sitting on his turns DR'd out and spied out.

I usually do not like to post, but I believe this merits a response.

I run H1
(1) I'm not going to win
(2) I accidentally hit him twice
(3) Even when I am in DR, I have never 'abused' it by going all-jets to grab other top netters (non-retals) hoping that when DR expires, I can get enough defense to hold their retals.
(4) Unfortunately for my mistake, I ate 5 missles/GSes and now am in DR...I might as well make the most of it.
(5) I strongly dislike DR abuse and hope it gets fixed soon!

Thank you metygl. In that case you were very lucky that the person you double tapped was such a Noob and put you in DR right in to the final 6 hour period. And who could blame you for taking advantage of it.

I have also used the DR to my advantage, luring people into hitting me early on, and taking advantage of someone who hit me several times to go all jetter for a while. Who's really to say what is cheating or not, we are all using DR to our advantage.

I hope it gets fixed soon too, I'm very tired of it and don't like the game very much the way it is.

Interesting when you think about it though. Getafix abuses DR, then accuses metygl of abusing DR after even hitting metygl while hiding in DR. And while all this is happening, metgyl never even abuses his DR. Very interesting.

Actually we both "abused" DR. I accused metygl of "cheating" because we have all determined that purposefully allying with someone to put you in DR is the only form of cheating with DR. Every set I see someone get about 10 GS hits on Saturday afternoon, combined with a few real hits to make it look legit. However, I accept metygl's explanation.

Diminishing Returns has far too great an impact on the game. To win you pretty much have to use it to your advantage to some extent I think. Thats why it needs to be changed.

Also, the #81 was a mistake, I was looking at eestats and typed the wrong number.
