How do i get rid of those little tiny ants. They're everywhere... I have those baits but what I really want is to wipe out the whole colony... those baits are only a temporary solution
One of the places I rented a few years back had an ant problem for about a month; the landlord had some sort of yellow bottle of a sweet syrupy poison or something like that, that the ants carry back to the queen; it worked wonders, within a week of him giving us the bottle (and putting it like, everywhere hehe) they were just completely gone.
Don't know what it was anymore though, other than it was kindof a thickish clear liquid from an ~500ml bottle.

Soviet had this stuff when I met him, "ant bait", never had to use it on the inside of our house, but on the outside, I have used all over place outside, never seen those guys in our house. He apparently got it from pestmall.com, never had an issue in Colorado with bugs, so I am learning here in the south and in GA that things are different!! ACK! I am pretty much a "natural person" with things, so I try to research non toxic ways to little pest, animals and my garden....
Vinegar!!! Ants hate that stuff, as do...cayenne pepper......
Here is a good natural way: http://www.wikihow.com/...l-Ants-Without-Pesticides
other wise...if you are like me and like natural pesticides...google "natural remedies to kill ants"...or contact your local herbal store.

The ant bait works because it's laced with sugar and the ants take it as food. It probably very much depends on the species of ant.
Vinegar/cayenne pepper will deter them because it messes with the sensory trails they leave for others to follow. If you can find it, soapy water into the ant hill works fairly well too although that might do other unintended damage.

Boric acid is effective at killing ants and other common household bugs. It is a slow acting poison that that sends insect’s metabolism into over drive and does not allow them to properly absorb water. It can also kill the colony because the poisoned insects bring it back to their nest, where it spreads.
Some recopies:
Soak cotton balls in 1 cup water, 2 cups sugar, 2 tablespoons boric acid
Well, you do know what sperm does to an ant, right?
Google it to find out!

Last year I had that problem. I used some gel on the entry point and ant traps. Within 2 days, they were dunzo and I have not seem them since.
I also moved my cat's food because that was what was attracting them hah
While usually considered a pest, a common ant superstition is that a person who finds an ant colony near the entrance to their house can expect riches and security. If a group of ants seem frenzied and are seen carrying their eggs to another location this may mean that they predict bad weather. In many countries there is a superstition that killing ants brings on rain. A less well known superstition is that eating ant eggs in honey is an effective antidote to love.
In Cornwall, England some people believe that ants are fairies enjoying their last incarnation. Others believe that ants are the souls of ancient Druids who refused to accept the Bible or the souls of unbaptised children, so its considered bad luck to destroy a colony.
Author Richard Webster says that he was told in Cornwall that it's possible to eliminate an ant colony by asking them to leave. More than 20 years later he found his new house infested with ants and followed this advice asking them to leave. He claims that the ants left within 24 hours.
ive never tried asking them to leave, but then again, we have only ever had ants once in the 10 years i have lived here.......and we just went around the house and wiped down their trails with bleach. Their feet leave pheramones that the ones after them will follow.....

If ants' pheromone trails were electrically-conductive, then I'd have me some serious fun...
