If more ppl were as self-reliant and independent as the Cajuns, we wouldn't be having problems with pointless things like "entitlements" and "welfare". Social Security and Medicare NOT included, of course...those are always needed.

why do we need Social Security and Medicare? pick one or the other at a minimum... why should we pay for them to putter around in their gardens and the doctor bill for when they trip over the hoe? they had enough problems making enough money to live on when they were actually productive, so why do need to keep paying for old farts to live forever?
