Yeah buildings are practically free. I think it's bad in terms of breadth of strategy. Non-tech starts are gonna eat it.

No you simply build a bunch of CS maybe 15 farms or so and then build labs. Every strategy will do the same thing the first 300 turns practically.

yikes. oh well. I'm still trying to figure out how to play good from my phone. pain in butt that i have to switch to the numeric keyboard everytime i enter a textbox.

Well, you'll have some extra cashes on hand to spend on tech :} And maybe prices will be lower if no one else is buying. Just seems like a tech starter being able to 1) afford labs easily, 2) destroy labs and rebuild also very easily gives that strat rather a boost. Definitely a greater boost than the cash start gets because it's getting that bargain price 1.2 extra times and can also get those labs up a lot quicker than before.
