Braves are surging right now. 1/2 game behind Pittsburgh for the best NL record.
Despite the fact that my Cardinals were offensively slumping, the way the Braves swept them was very surprising to me.
With the combined rise of the Braves as one of baseball's best along with the collapse of Washington and Philadelphia, the NL East chase has become boring. Atlanta can coast into the playoffs and not have to worry about struggling down the stretch or the wild card this year.
