I thought when we started a few days after a set started that we had however many turns were given out already.

I just started my 16 in FFA and only had 72 turns given. Im pretty sure ffa has been going longer then 72 turns..but i cld be wrong..

Is this something new?

If this is what you are referring too, i didnt restart. I made my original countries

I just made a random country in a server i dont play and have fullturns all around.

24 Hours is the max turns you get on a new country

I know last reset in ffa i started a fewdays late.. had 120(---)

I do this so i can click eachdamn country once..do my start ups with the tool bar, then tag them.

If the reason is to stop restart abuse w h y FFA? We have 16. Im not gna create a new accnt for 6 dead countries or whatever when i have 10alive still..

Hm probably early 2010... it was around the first couple resets of express anyway... when he started to realize the exploits available with the higher turn rate & restarting, so we redesigned how restarting worked...

normally bstrong should have gotten ~180 turns but he got only 72 turns so he lost 110 turns.

yep, totally new countries made 3 days after set started not restarts.

To be fair, in my original post, i said, i just started my 16 in ffa.

I never would have been here asking about restarts. But rather on ffa board why my countries were dead 3 days into a set :)


Also, i know tda started at almost the same time as me. He also only got 72 on his originals.

FFA country creation is a separate function from normal country creation, because of the whole multies thing -- it may be that we never pushed the additional turns into FFA....

and you forgot daily 20 acres too in the beginning.
