How many people tech start on express and do they think its actually worth it?

How many people think filling orders $500-$1000 less then the going rate on tech is smart?

I've done tech starts on express and there's no point to it in my opinion. As for filling orders thats a complete no no to me, on a server with 15-45 min wait to get goods on tbe market max id undercut would be $50 to assure anyones on route would still be undercut. There's no one on the server teching that needs money so bad that they should cut profits by millions of dollars unless they dont care about where you finish.

Not everyone is a rational player.

If you don't like it, stop playing techer. The more ppl that stop playing techer, the less tech there will be on the market.

Im trying to educate people and rationally disucss this issue, theres no reason for me to quit teching, I just need to either educate and inform players on how to finish better. Or I need to adjust my play stlye accordingly with the new "factors" of the game.

Run a demo techer and clear the mispriced tech off the market. All the big players are lazy theo techers these days, someone's gotta do the dirty work and keep the market in shape.

Btw, tech start works fine. See the thread CX made about his best cash start, and h2o's tech start comparison.

One issue with reselling is that you have to wait for the goods to sell to get your money back. If you need to resell say 50k tech that's 50k tech worth of military you might not have.

Though techers makes STUPID amounts of cash though.

the benefits of a tech start are much more when tech stays above 2500 on day 2.
if there is 1500 tech to be had by the end of day 1, then tech starts in express are worthless

The other benefit of tech start is burning off a ton of turns and having a lean country. Helps keep you from slow playing too much and makes you less likely to be grabbed or top fed or RoR'd etc.
