Someone just did a cooperative market cheat in res, bus and military, buying up 187183 bus at $2589, 190,082 res at $2661 and 86,819 military at $2661. In fact there may be two pairs of cheaters at work. They are now ignoring the later tech coming in at $1100. It was a classic example of "buy all the cheaper tech til you hit the motherload" market cheat.

So tellarion, I'm calling you on this one.

Didn't see that one Cable. I was watching for a certain end of set pattern that we've seen before. It was nicely camouflaged at $2661 this time, but what really gave it away was that 1st all the bus got bought up until all the $2589 was bought, THEN the res was all bought up. And we are talking way over $1b worth. Rep cashers buy evenly if they are growing. This was just a cheating buyout.

each tech point gives you 2 nw. each unit(turret/jets) is 0.6 nw. unless tech prices is cheaper than turret/jet price * 3.33, its always better to buy units.

I reported the cheating using the ingame reporting tool right after I saw it at 11:55pm. I joined the irc chat room then too and didn't see tellarion logged on. I then posted on the forum

We already know that last second market cheats need to be researched after the fact from the discussion after the $7000 industrial. This is the same. I will provide the log if you don't have it. You said, tellarion, that you could now deal with this kind if cheat. I created a country trusting your word after my self deletion of Rock Lobster.

Don't tell me now that I should have reported it before the end of the game and try to get out of identifying and deleting the cheaters this time ! Wow!

So if you acknowledge that I can only check into it after the set ends, then why did you report it at 11:55pm and leave it at that? In the future, send me a forum pm with whatever info you have...

Reports are deleted when the round resets. Thus, reporting it 5 minutes before the end of the set doesn't really help. Even if I were online at that time, I wouldn't be able to catch it then. Especially if I have nothing to go on, such as a country number.

As I said, I looked into the $7k indy tech from a few sets ago, and it was not coordination. I am planning to double check this instance again just to be sure, but I am 99% sure it also is not coordination. If you choose not to believe me, that's your prerogative. But calling me a liar when I have done exactly as you demanded of me and looked into this for you, just because my findings didn't match your suppositions, is pretty childish.

And yes, the reporting tools and mod tools in general are NOT sufficient. All of us mods have said so repeatedly.
