If you're grabbing from a country with hardly any defense and lots of land, do you get the same amount of acres from them regardless of how many forces you send in the attack?

for example...

attacking a guy with 100000 turrets tanks and troops... do i get the same amount of land if i send 110000 of each or do I get more land if I send like a million of each?

Oversending actually makes gains smaller
<~qzjul> it gives you a good introduction to orbital mechanics and a good appreciation for how central delta-V is and thrust to weight ratio
<RaTSFYA>The only thrust to weight ratio I'm worried about involves the women I pick up at bars

If you send 110%... you are 99% to grab... but grab alot less then say sending 101-105%

the closer you are to 100% of opp. strength and you succeed, the greater the rewards

I personally hate DH'ing a target and rather grind acres 100% of the time.. also makes the target not want to retal me and instead retal the guy who grabbed 500 acres vs my 200 acre grab lol

Where does it say your returns are reduced for oversending?? I'm pretty sure oversending just increases the dr by a marginal amount.

Your returns depend on their land and your networth compared to theirs(and tech/gov bonuses).

what is dr??

And how do you maximize your returns then? sometimes I grab from someone between 1/2 and 2/3 my networth with very little army, and lots of unused land and I'll only get like 40-100 acres. then other times I grab from very similar people and I get like 500 acres or something

DR = Diminishing returns. The more that a country is hit, the less the returns will be.

Your returns on grabbing are at their maximum when you are 95% of your target's networth. It decays as a gaussian curve away from that point. The closer you are to 95%, the better your returns will be. Bottomfeeding(ie attacking someone much smaller than you) will always give fairly fluffty returns.

What gain is it to you if I join your alliance? I'm a newb haha, don't you want players that you know are good?

the problem with the alliance server is that when I first started playing it, I knew literally nothing so I kinda butchered my set in alliance. but if you really want me to join then i'd love to come learn about the game and try help out

On Express? You have to be very careful..someone can have 300+ turns on hand and quickly catch up to you and make you pay.

As far as noobs in Evo, we love em :) We always want more members. Netsquash joined us this set and you can't be much more of a noob than him :P

army size doesn't matter as much as tool size

it's a known fact if you have a big dict you'll get more land

bottomfeed is cool if you're ready for it. =) look at the news of those who are too fat for their NW, and find out how they keep their acres.
