I tought the tech market will suck with Cable sending me a message day one that he is teching too. Thus i didn`t push the grabing pedal - and went easy on the defense too.

The fact that i sold 2899 tech in the last day helped my land-thin techer. A techer is extremely hard to be placed @ 30 mil NW with nowadays tech prices. Few players spend cash on tech, above 2500, and they all wait for the last day ( when tech actually reaches higher prices than in the first days which is kinda unusual but perfectly explainable, with half of the experienced players waiting, with close to full turns, for cheap tech ).

23.6 Mil NW on a 11.7k techer is not a bad score.

Yah you did well considering you me and Blid were all teching, wait for blids repsonse to this but im sure he will agree. I'm not sure why prices bounced the last day, I didn't tech my last 70ish turns and I was only teching at 3000ish by sunday.

hsifreta... how do you know who everyone is during the game? I know Alin uses the same country name every set, but how do you know everyone else? I always see people in the forums talking about what other people are doing, I just don't know how people know what country name matches up with someones forum name.

I wasn't sure who you were. I am defensive in hostile situations. The last set certainly qualifies as a hostile situation :)

PS Also, you clearly didn't know who I was as evidenced by your post on the subject. You were guessing but unsure since I haven't played a delayed start DR gambit strategy in a while. It would have been to your advantage to know if it was me, but you didn't reveal your own identity in your message.

I wish I'd known you were going to retal H2O right then because I could have hit him after he lost 300k turrets or so, but it was too late because I'd committed my 2.5m jets to bottomfeeding and my cash from my turrets to bus/res. Too bad. But maybe if we had talked it would have been like coordination because we could infer so much and predict each other's moves.

Nope that wasnt me, i did however get geared toretal him when he was 11.5 mil. Then i was subsequently hit before i got to. Which after i retaled and built up, i was past my starting point for stocking.

I only had 120 turns left to run when u wanted to take that retal.. say I lose 3k land and 2m units.

2m units = 1.2m nw
3k * 1.88 * 1.35 * 1.55 = 1.4m units = 850k nw
plus building lost and some cash/food lost = 450k nw

I would still have ended with 33m. unless you retal like 3 times. =P
