The scores ARE incredibly low, and no, not that normal. I quit playing 2 days in because I'd gone commie and couldn't be bothered at the prices stuff was selling.

That's another good point blid, the prices were terrible for Indy this set.

Well I'm glad to see this set was sort of an anomaly.

I enjoy the atypical market conditions. Markets aren't always the same as a general rule. Makes things interesting.

Anomalous conditions are always interesting. Can you adapt your play to take advantage of the different conditions? The previous two sets military was expensive and the best strategy was to buy out your PM. This set the Public market was better. And if you don't have enough bushels for your own needs for the last 100 turns or so then you will get burned at least 10% of the time.

To be in the top ten consistently you have to play the market well. Like investing in stocks, you minimize risk with a diversified investment portfolio. You may win sometimes with a big gamble but to win consistently you have to make a variety of small gambles and be ready to pull the plug on bad ones and switch to a different plan.
