Just happened to me. Sent two planned strikes, one after the next really fast.

Does anyone know what is behind this? Could it be a client side issue?

anyone remember back in the day playing with dialup, and if you clicked the attack button rapidly (this was before the attack again button btw) you could trick the game into more hits than turns used?

ahhhhh the early 2000s

your browser sent the info more than once. i used to speed hit on mobile devices like this a couple years ago (i fought an FFA war entirely from an iPod touch, was a rough month lol). just mash the orig attack button, not the new java attack again, and it would send multiple requests before the next page loads.

dont sit there and impatiently tap the attack button multiple times while waiting for the results page to load or this will happen. i dont think it is a game bug.

I have a fast client, fat pipe, and low latency. Connection to EE is usually snappy, certainly is today. I only clicked the mouse once. It was so fast, I don't recall even seeing the first attack, only the second which was DH. In fact, I thought I calculated the break wrong until I saw the two attacks in the news, the first of which was successful.

Aha! Its the fat pipe that is probably the problem.

Your mouse click is broken.

Mouse makes a lot of sense. I haven't seen that behavior elsewhere, but it's quite old and I tend to mash it a lot.

You can avoid this problem by buying oil only when you need it, so you can't accidentally send a second PS. Of course, this does raise the amount of money you spend on oil by a little bit, compared to buying them by SOs.

I remember when there was a limited # of searches you could do per day. When did they change that anyways?

I play only from my phone and have noticed this bug many places. Somehow double tapped someone. Cost be rebuilding 1000 acres. Also noticed it when building or knocking down buildings. Many times it told me I did not have enough acres to do that. Cannot double click from my freaking phone LOL.

The biggest error that I do is trying to explore x1 and I somehow get a 1 in front of the 0 and it explores x10.

Then there's the occasional setting my order to buy bushels at $2400, luckily I don't get punished for this one.

I've also accidentally sold all my spies accidentally- I still can't figure out why I do this.

Or how about you think you're on the build page but you're actually on the destroy page.

Or- You have 200 farms and 4000 labs. You keep destroying 200 labs and rebuilding 200 labs for about 5 turns when you realize you're destroying the wrong buildings.

Im sure ppl always do this one- You resell ALL your food while you have negative production.

Trying to get sdi tech to 90% with Theo.

Declaring war after using all your turns.

Used the cash button when you're a techer.

SS when you meant to PS.

Forget a digit on the # of units when sending an attack (thankfully that confirmation page has saved me)

Accidentally selecting one of the saved values on the build screen and hitting enter.

Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

On my ipad, I frequently think my "click" didn't go through, as the device isn't "working," so I click again. Apparently this has led to me double tapping.

Done all of those - except cashed a turn instead of teched it. SACRILEGE.

Last set I was rebuilding and the build rate changed. Rushed to see what horrible attacks were in progress, nothing. Went back to rebuilding --- and realised I had spent a turn knocking down 60 csites. :(
