Hey there i know celphi dont understant a lot on the first try of explaining things to him but hes asking. I for one have no issues repeating my self.

When i was younger i learned at a slower pace then most but once i did take that extra time needed to learn i was able to do the same things as so called normal people, sometimes even better then them. (Not in English tho :-P) i say this because i whould like to see more people take the time to make sure they get what your talking about.

By the way celphi mr ford knows a lot about the game so please dont let personal feelings stop you from taking in the info he is sharing ;-)

This thread is funny.

Half of the times when mrford goes into "earthempires" calculus and details, the thread starts in this manner :

mrford

f(z) = 1/sqrt(2PI) e(-z^2/2)

The area within an interval (a,b) = normalcdf(a,b) = integral(a to b) e-z^2/2 dz (It is not integrable algebraically.)

& ends like this:

mrford
you are an idiot ....

This does not mean he isn't right, i am just observing the way it starts and ends ...

He should make a thread explaining the sky is blue, I would love to see how that ends.

An important factor is the relative size of the attacker to the defender (in networthI think). A smaller country attacking a larget gets more return for each hit.

Old cases are irrelevant to the current position as there have been numerous changes.

As we all know BRs are quicker than gs. But as we also all know they are much rarer because typically people carry a LOT more turrets than they do troops. Perhaps 320 turns is enough for a BR kill run. You just don't see enough of them on the solo servers to judge about that. Perhaps Celphi's calculations will one day provide a dependable answer - but I won't be holding my breathe.

And, of course, for practical purposes the change linking population to production has made a substantial difference. Coming up short of a gs kill run is no longer a disaster. The target may well still be dead in the water, or at the least badly wounded.

this was an incorrect statement, no matter how many excuses you line up. i did it last set with no missiles, a fluffty spal, and 320 turns not even trying to be efficient.

not to mention that the post above this one is full of incorrect information.

people have solo killed on servers with 1/3 the avaliable turns, and you want to sit there and say that 360 isnt enough, and it is laughable. it happens every single set.

I just built up two countries on alpha.

One had max res tech and 9700 res buildings with 7000+ turn played on it. 10m nw

The other was a tyr with spies and 18chems

I sold down too 360 turns amd 8m nw

I used 49 SR 6 failed

I used 8chems

I used 146 GS(+the 8 chemz)

Still had 40 turns left over

GS then SR for redi

When ops were failing i used 8 of my 18 chems to regen redi.

I didnt use all my chems because i tried to be realistic about it. I figured 8 was a reasonable amnt to have on express if running any warfare tech.

When those 8 were used i cash turn for redi

It can be done then.

Mildly favourable circumstances - smaller networth, tyrrany, eight chems.

But only mildly favourable.

Even without the chems, i still would have had left over turns. I even was going on the basis that it was 4 regen and 3 lost when attacking. When its really 4 attack and 3regen. By the time i noticed i probably spent 8-10turns to many rgen redi

And a 10m nw kill probably doesnt happen to often l, not saying it doesnt though.

The reason for going to 10m with sonmany turns ran was to inflate my population. Putting your notion to rest, forever.

Even as non tyr the kill is possible. Inflate MS tech to 125% or higher to replicate the tyr boost and the fact that readi is better managed and it'll be an easy pick

Well you chose the gov.t and the eight chems.

Maybe your guess as to the number of turns w/o those features is right?

I chose tyr and chems because if i am going to throw my set to kill you, im switching to an agressive gov such as tyr or dict. And lets face it, even with out warfare tech, your probably going to have chems to use and em's toregen redi

There is a gs kill run in Express at the moment which seems to be around 200 turns using no chems at all.

The target country was not long out of protection with 1100 acres and 130k networth but still.

Ya, I started with around 280 turns, at end of KR I had 68 turns remaining, did 40 SR about 11 failed, 96 total GS

I hope your brain doesn't explode over this...

LMAO.........great observation, Alin. I have always thought the same!

And for somebody who runs a land farm, he sure keeps a lot of spies. I think I got busted about four times this week, mrford. Everyone else is DT, TT, and QT you, and I'm trying to be respectful and just send what I need once and can't even do a damn spy op.
