I haven't played in a very long time but so far since playing I have not had a successful attack... What % extra do I need to send in proportion to defending target?! I've been sending 10% extra they have 100k turrents, that should be 200k defence I send 220k offence and fail? Either 110k jets on standard or 88k with a planned strike?

STEP-by-STEP guide (look for my side comments)

Step 1. Spy target.
Step 2. Goto Spy tab and find country you just spied. (The reason why you do this is to get the %s of weaps tech) (Your initial spy report doesn't show it)

Example:

The Status of the Monarchy of XXXXXX <---------- look for their govt type.

2 other things you need is YOUR govt type and YOUR weapons tech %.

Now do this:
Troops = TRP
Turrets = TRT
Tanks = TNK
Target's weapns tech = T_WEAP
If target govt = dictator then GOVT = 1.25
If target govt = republic then GOVT = .9
If target govt = anything other than above then GOVT = 1

((((TRP/2)+(TRT)+(TNK*2))*T_WEAP*GOVT*1.1) / YOUR_GOVT) / YOUR_WEAPTECH)

I always round up their weap tech to nearest whole number.

If you spy and fail on spy. Wait a few mins and do a search on target. Check to see if their net matches the net in your spy ops. If they don't, likely they bought more defenses.

I always check before I hit the final send attack.

If this is all too much for you- then just use an attack calculator for EE. There's plenty available if you google it.

One last comment I forgot to add:

If you attack using PS., then at the end of that formula, divide everything by 1.5 & that's how many jets you send.
