.avi/.mp4, usb stick, and from windows to mac?

will this work, from my pc to my bosses apple?

i want to give him the vikings series. (i pay my cable and internet bill, its not theft.)

if i put the seasons from my windows, onto the usb stick, he will be able to play it on his mac os?

none of this silly fat32 or ntfs bullfluff going to fluff it up?

osx (mac) should read ntfs-formatted stick (supported ~2 years ago). fat32 is "safe bet".

tell your boss to download and install vlc and he can play all kind of movie-files.

he wants thrn to plug the usb into his tv and watch it that way.
my samsung plays both avi and mp4 off of my usbs.. so it occurs to me only now that i asked a question where the answer is irrelevant to what im wanting to do, heh.

if his tv supports mp4 and avi then no problem but if doesn't then either you or he needs to convert those to format his tv supports.

Xbmc/kodi would probably be easiest if they have internet. In order to transfer a file via a usb stick/external hard drive you will need to format it as ExFat, not fat32 or NTFS. That will allow them to view the files on the stick. As for file extensions that work on a mac I have no idea.
