I agree with Doogs... I get as frustrated as anyone when I get topfed - but the farming could realistically be considered as serious of an issue by some folks...

topfeeds r fine but only if they benefit the attacker. If this hit was late which it probably was (ie past 1400 turns) than the attacker is hurting his final nw just to make a meaningless big grab

which strat were they? b/c if they were techer, couldn't they just drop the extra land? Just from two turns they'd be producing higher tpt. The only cost would be 2 turns of teching / oil / jets; but you gain % of their tech from LG.

So for an illustration.,..
250k jets lost: apx +35mil
160k oil @250: +40mil

75mil / 1000 (autobuy) / 1000 (tpt increase) = 75 turns to break even.
75mil / 1000 (autobuy) / 500 (tpt increase) = 150 turns to break even.

1k tpt increase is about 3k land
500 tpt increase is about 1.5k land

None of these considers the amount gained from stolen tech.

no idea what strat he's running tbh. i see what you're saying but in this case it wasn't a well calculated grab ... as nerrus himself told me - i had a lot of land and he could break. that was the only reason he grabbed.

Vic, nothing personal; I bear no malice against you or anyone else that I have top feed. If I had known it was you I would have done a DNH and top-feed someone else. I play for fun, not rank. I do not have the patience to net because I find it boring.

I came back to LaF because I have the freedom to do whatever I want while playing by LaF's rule. I have always maintained LaF's best interest on the Alliance server. I love it that LaF does not restrict my freedom of play on the other servers. With LaF's guidance I improved my game and even made it into the top five on the Express server, hence I am thankful that you recruited me into LaF.

All I ask for is that I be set free to play however I wish on the non-Alliance servers.

Dude, look at my alliance game and tell me that I don't deserve to be able to landgrab from my scores list. And you know according to most definitions I've seen every PANGER in the game would consider it a "topfeed" instead of just looking at it as a smart grab for someone to take a large amount of land, cheaply and with few turns tied up in grabs, so they can spend the turns building on it, and making it profitable.

think he was more pissed off not at the topfeed but by who it was, if the bots finally learned to retal he would be at war with them instead of talking to them about it ;)
