Looking for evidence to fit your narrative isn't the same thing as cominn to a legit conclusion. The dude is dead because he did some dumb fluff. No one else died because no one else ran.
Having been shot myself, it isn't a video game. You don't reach your hands down like that that fast. Shock is a real thing. Especially with all the adrenalin that was probably pumping through him.
But you are going to believe your tin foil theory because you supported them. That is fine, just don't be surprised when people tell you that you are wrong.
