Anyone know why there is a white circle under the cursor in Word 2013? When you click on the white dot it brings the on screen keyboard. I cant just click on the word document, or chrome for that matter... to start typing? Yes setting > Devices > Typing > and then Turn on "Automatically show touch keyboard is turned on, and the keyboard pops up in the control panel, or cortana... just not in apps.

Tablet mode doesnt help either.

Like, is it a Windows Update that changed how touch screens and fingers work or something? Chrome doesnt work anymore too btw when it used to.

It wasnt there before. I saw that post. It also doesnt answer why on screen keyboard doesnt auto come up for chrome anymore and i think the two are related some how.

You may have to back up your information and reset it back to factory settings. It may be as easy as configuring your user settings though. If you performed any updates recently to windows 10 or any other programs it could have changed your settings. You can set your computer to ask first instead of conducting automatic updates as well.

Soooo, the word bubble is intended, and Chrome updated so that it only works in tablet mode. I tried vivaldi browser, and it worked, but realized i installed an older version so I installed with the newer version, and it didnt work (bc its based on chrome)

Try these three link and read up, I read some things that sounded similiar to your issues. Chrome has a lot of issues by the way. I tried to play a video in tube and it said my flash player was outdated. Each time I went to adobe's website it said I had an uptodate version so I opened up the toolbar with the 3 lines than setting, advanced settings and I went to go enable the blue toggle switch for adobe and it was already enabled. So I opened up a different web browser. I use, chrome, mozilla firefox, torchbrowser, microsoft edge. So I opened up the same link in microsoft edge and it worked just fine. There are alot of bugs with that browser. Try using another one.

Also if you need a new browser. and other apps. Go to http://www.ninite.com and checkmark one of the browsers you don't have and click install.

I just had that happen. Uninstall-reinstall chrome. Works fine now. I have SP3

Thanks for trying. First link is not my issue, second link is 2 years old and prob old windows 10 bugs, and its just a Google Chrome regression. I figured it out because the V browser updated its chrome based, and thus the problem resurfaced. Also, Google Chrome ships with its own flash player so going to the adobe site will do nothing. In fact it should tell you that you can not upgrade from the site anyway.

The 3rd link might be the charm (making a mental note). Perhaps the newest version of Chrome has this flag turned off...
"Go to chrome://flags and change the "Enable Touch Events" setting from "Automatic" to "Enable". The current version of Chrome apparently does not detect the touch capabilities of Windows 10."

win10's 2nd update comes out ~summer.

The later models of SP3 run 10.

Pay no attention to the drama queen of elitist computing, folks. You don't have to spend all your hard earned money on Apple products that can be duplicated by practically any company for less than half what Apple demands for them. Consider not enriching the lawyers any more than they already are.

Well the chrome://flags option did not make any difference lol. Oh well.
