Depends if there are bots. If they're on it's hard work - the bot farmers will blast past you. If they're not you've got a good run at it, but it's still tempting to go bottom feeding for the last couple of thousand acres.

I played all ex with no retals last set. I was pretty inactive too and finished 11th. Without bots top 10 should be pretty easy. With bots it is hard.

He caught me after a couple batch explores last week. I can't really blame him I was fat.

I played all-x last set and finished 2nd. In all reality I had a 25m 1st finish coming.

It's possible to do very well without the bots.

I can not stand the ennui of all-x.
If you do not want to get hit, do not be the best available target.

I think the well-informed would corroborate that statement.
I routinely topfeed fat targets in an effort to get into top ten but that is not suiciding.
Plus the built in penalty against topfeeding means I have to be within $2M of any target to truly gain.
The eighth ranked player farming the third ranked player is not suiciding, in that instance.

You were the only country truly positioned to make a great run but you were fat.
I loved my position with eighteen hours to go, I had instigated a spat that had me deep in DR, with a ton of jets, lots of spies and my own source of oil. Unfortunately there were no targets, but you. I was loaded for bear in a henhouse.
Two of my favorite late game targets GSed each other into irrelevance and Qwf apparently took the week off. I feel robbed,

Clint you make it sound like the only hits you send are to try to better your final position.
In reality you have sent many attacks where you have so few turns remaining that unless the target had a ridiculous stock you will still lose nw by end game. You also multi tap targets that you know will go to war which also has a negative impact on your final score.
You aren't quite a Furano level top feeder who only plays to wreck top players but you have plenty of instances where you have played that role.

You sure do get fired up about running some pretty awful countries.
If hitting me 3 times for a 20th place finish makes your fluff hard, good for you.

I did not finish well, in part because I stayed late at church.
Unless I finish top ten I consider it a lost reset.

Although what a lot of the all x guys miss is that the joy is in the journey, in the struggle, not the destination.
Can one play a total of three hours all-x and finish top ten, sure. People do it all the time.

I guarantee that I had a much better time playing the game. Which is, after all, the point.
