the same way we can pick and choose which shirt to wear, or which pants to wear, we also wake up every morning and pick our thoughts- we dont choose which thoughts we will have but we choose which thoughts we will act upon. we all have poor thoughts from time to time, but we can choose which thoughts we focus our attention on- we can choose the anger and the hate and the racism and the everything alleged that you don't like about me, or we can choose the thoughts of acknowledgment and the undertaking of recognition and cooperation, and every day we can make the choice to accept, and if that means forgive, then you do yourself a terrible disservice when you disallow the growth that makes all of us not perfect, but the best we know how to do at any time.
