Yeah. I do remember the media tour. They were sucking his balls pretty hard because its the only public case where Trump was an indicted co-conspirator. Cohen's crimes were found to be at the direction of individual 1 which makes Trump an unindicted felon.

Considering how much you want to see anyone on the left get tore down, you should be able to understand the first sealed felony that goes beyond the 8 year statute of limitations, and will likely cause trump to see some jail time when he leaves office, as a huge win.

Im sure if some prosecuter took down Hillary, the right would be singing his praises even if he was a child molester. I think avanatti probably benefitted from the initial excitement of the cohen indictment, but he faded into obscurity real quick.

....he's brash, hes on offense, he's on cable news, he's prosecuting the president the same way trump prosecuted his republican rivals in the 2016 campaign. He's a tabloid lawyer using cable news in the same way that trump was a tabloid candidate and used cable news in a garish, brash often distasteful way to advance his political agenda....

I wish trump, sometimes, would pause the attacks to take notice of things. I understand thats not what these ghouls do, but seriously.

As much as he tried to undermine the prosecutors and damage their credibility and integrity, the rule of law was upheld and the investigation was completed thoroughly. We should be celebrating that. I feel like it would be nice to hear that we should have faith in the DOJ and that they were very credible prosecutors not just 19 angry democrats that failed and NO COLLUSION and fluff. That's so toxic. You already won. Its time to restore faith that was eroded in the justice department thru constant attacks by this administration.

I suppose. A narrative like that may cause people to come together to some degree, and then we couldnt keep the sorta toxic circus element of our bread and circus going.

By the way there was a sealed indictment in that case that has not become unsealed yet. In theory since the statute of limitations on those violations is actually 10 years, they're probably just going to follow judicial precedent and indict after he leaves office. They would, however, rush thru a foreign emoluments case because the statute is 8 years. For that reason i bet the emoluments case is intentionally stalled to see if trump wins a 2020 election. And the SDNY will become the Mueller of those 2 years if he wins. If he doesn't win, i bet he's indicted within days of leaving office.

Lol. Im just using language spelled out in a case where Cohen was found guilty, Trump was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator, and a sealed indictment was sent to the federal docket. I mean. Put your own beans on who that sealed indictment is for and why it is sealed. Considering individual 1 was listed directly as an unindicted co-conspirator, that's simply my best guess. If you have a better theory I'd love to hear it. That's the best i can come up with. And the only reason to keep the indictment sealed is to not break justice department standards.

I'd be open to other theories on it. Just seems the most logical to me.

Perhaps a guy like rick Gates, who is still cooperating with cases in the SDNY, is surviving as a sealed indictment because they don't want to try the case until his cooperation is complete. While ive never heard of Gates affiliated at all with the finance violations, something similar maybe? Still seems weird to me that they wouldnt still just try the whole case and delay his sentencing as theyve done with flynn and cohen. So yeah. Way less likely theory but i tried.

Do you want me to pull up the actual language from the prosecutorial filing that directly says "individual-1 directed Michael cohen to make these illegal finance violations" and where cohen identifies again that Trump specifically is the individual-1 in saying it was trump that directed him before congress?

The prosecution and defense acknowledged trump directed cohen to make the payments, but chose not to indict him. Thus, unindicted co-conspirator.

Just supplying facts. It seems more than likely that the sealed indictment in that case is individual-1 and the reason it's staying sealed is due to judicial precedent.

Whether its spin or not would probably come out in the trial. But again there's suspicion enough to warrant investigation.

I'm not at all saying that i believe Cohen or trump anymore than anyone else, nor am i saying i think these are crimes that rise to the level of impeachment. Nor am i saying i think trump is guilty or not.

Im just literally looking at what has happened so far, and predicting future outcomes. It's not my goal to tear down the president. He does that well enough for himself. I'm just trying to predict which way the dominos will fall. In this particular case it seems like a sealed indictment will be prosecuted when trump leaves office. Just a guess.

Still my favorite part of the most recent shutdown is when johnny Isakson (R-ga) gave a floor speech about how he's witnessed shutdowns, and all they do is have a bunch of young interns parading around the oval office without supervision. And that the most sure thing that comes with a shutdown is idle hands.

Basically implying that the only thing the shutdown would achieve, based on history, is the president's old ass fluffing a barely legal intern Louie CK style. Lol. And its basically unavoidable. Thats just what happens during a government shutdown and there's no stopping it. Hahaha.

I feel like for a person to get to the point that they write an entire floor speech about it, it can't just be a clinton thing. Or maybe he was just worried about another trump sex scandal. Either way. Probably top 3 speeches of trump presidency. It gets my official endorsement.

My favorite is still the CPAC conference where trump would have a good excuse if he didn't keep telling people he doesn't drink. You know, the one where he came out and hugged the american flag before starting on a slurred, 2 hour, rampage that included such lines as "im going to regret this speech."

Still my favorite, still don't believe trump is sober, wish every speech was like that. When he came out and just slowly wrapped his arms around the american flag in a romantic awakward embrace and pushed his face into it like a mothers busom, i knew it was fluffIN ON. fluff was classic.

His standup isn't so great but it's not bad either. He's no Louis CK but he's definitely funnier than the Al Franken's of the world. His impressions are usually pretty terrible, but at least he got Jeff Sessions spot on. It's much more fun if you can laugh. I think the last president that was funny was Reagan (who legitimately dropped some of the best jokes ever).

My favorite kind of jokes are usually dad jokes, and Obama can't even make a good dad joke, so I can never consider him funny. He wasn't as dry as Bush or Clinton, though, so that's a step up. Trump is more of a Rob Ford type of funny.
