I'm not sure anything about the new leaderboards inherently forces him to discard total NW. I also think that part is worth keeping. And congratulations on reaching t10!

If I'm behind 50 on a top 10 leaderboard then I know that I need to get top 10 in 50 rounds to catch up. If I'm behind 2.5 billion total NW then it's not clear how many rounds it would take. That number can fluctuate a lot depending on changes to the game. The current total NW figures are padded by artificially high tech prices and the "bot buyout". It will be quite difficult for other players to catch up.
Oh yeah, I don't think it's indicative of anything all that meaningful, but I don't think there;s any misonception about that. it's just one scoreboard of many, and one that allows all players move up if they continue playing for a long time.
Its not that much difference. Look at superfly owning total NW, its because he played all eras. Even tho I played in the high NW era and have more 70m NW finishes than anyone I'm not even close. Consistently playing and consistently finishing out sets has 1-2 leaderboards (tnw and t10s) and Imo they can live on their own as they require a vastly different type of effort than the seasonal ranks will.
Also I cannot beat superfly in T10s(unless he quits), but theoretically with great consistent effort I can beat him in TNW, which is why those two are different from one another.
Yes, it took a lot of consistency and I had a lot of catching up to do when I started slap. Please leave that there. And your other leader boards table, but leave one old school one for history sake.
