Stunts like this make a mockery of the actual tragedy. Once again the focus is shifting on bullfluff legislation instead of on the people effected by a complete moron. This isolates victims from the help and compassion that millions of people wish to extend. Also stops any real discussion and healing. There is a good chance his parent do face penalty for providing him with the gun

I am not sure on the laws in SC but I know in MI we have pretty relaxed laws but if a gun requires a permit or to be licence (handguns do) you cannot gift to people who do not qualify, which this kid certainly would not. It is a crime to do so.

The conflict they run into with that debate is that they then have to face the reality of handgun homicide, and they don't want to report those figures.

the requirement of parenting and parental responsibility is slowly being erased from our society apparently. we need laws to raise our kids now.

states do background checks for handgun permits where i have lived. if you have had a mental red flag or a F on your record you get denied. in the movie theater massacre the dude had sought help quite a few timws. there was a systematic failure that resulted in that.

instead of going after the tools of the atrocity, why not try to fix the cause and treatment, and hold others responsible for their failures in prevention? People on lists preventing the sale of firearms can go one state over and get them many times.

naw, lets blame the guns. that is the most high profile and easy way out. lets make new laws instead of enforcing the ones we already have.

there were 15 shootings where 5 or more died during his presidency. 22 for Obama.

I think the reason white people were their in the first place was supposed to be to help modernize those countries. I can't even wrap my mind around this or several of the other mass shootings.Now we will get a long drawn out trial of why this arsehole is crazy and should he get the death penalty and what not. how many people die in the US every year out of gun shooting accidents? I think ive read about a handful toddlers mistakenly shooting sibblings or parents already but OF COURSE YER RIGHT guns arent dangerous or bad! everyone should have 20 of them!
